Updates/ Quality of Life Improvements
Hello! I think I'm going to try and update on Mondays, if there's anything all that significant, of course! I have listened to the feedback I’ve been given and have been working to improve any issues that have been pointed out to me.
Thank you very much for playing and supporting the demo version! I most likely will not be updating the demo version again, unless something really game breaking is found, however, I am adding improvements suggested to me into the main game.
One of these was an issue with text readability when the characters were whispering/murmuring. I’m pleased to announce that I’ve gone through and made it easier to read.
Another was some of the status effects being kinda hard to understand. For this, I have included a guidebook in the menu. It doesn’t explain ones that I think are self-explanatory (because there’s already a lot of text to click through in this game haha), but I’ve added some descriptions for the statuses within it.
As well as this, for the first battles of both parts, I’ve added a little bit of an intro to the battle system. This only activates once per playthrough, (yes, even when going to the beginning of the second part) and can be accessed again through the guidebook.
I’ve also added longer character bios. Not much of a game changer, but I thought it appropriate.
And, lastly… I’m adding text to places where it’s difficult to see if you’re meant to press the enter key. That’s worded really badly, but essentially, as you can see in the image below, it was difficult to tell when to press the enter key sometimes, adding in this banner should solve that problem (even if it does obscure things just a tiny bit).
This really is stuff that I should have edited before releasing the demo, sorry about that! But this will all be included in the main game! Once again, thank you so much for the compliments and ideas for improvements, I really appreciate it!
This log isn’t much, but I’m hoping to start working on new parts of the game very soon, (hopefully by the next update) and I cannot wait to showcase a little of them.
